"A young boy with an unusual gift. Whenever he falls asleep, his subconscious travels to a universe where he is a super hero, The PD Redesign universe. While in the PD universe, he gains the skills of a martial artist, the ability to use magic & invulnerability and these powers will last as long as he believes he has them. However sometimes at the wrong moment, his subconscious may end up returning to his home universe right at the moment he wakes up."
We're going way back with this one, all the way to the early 1900s. The boy who has fantastic dreams gets a super hero twist.
Good Super Hero twist for Nemo!
That's the kind of twist I'll go with for my take on Little Nemo!
Having him have his subconsciousness travel to an universe where he is a Super Hero whenever he falls asleep is a TERRIFIC idea!
That's how I'll approach Little Nemo! It's also a great idea that while in the PD universe,he gains the skills of a martial artist,the ability to use magic and invulnerability and these powers will last as long as he believes he has them! That's the version of Little Nemo that I'll use when I have him be in the story-line for Spacehawk that I've talked about before where Sapcehawk has to team up with a bunch of PD characters to battle the dark gods,Set and Chernobog and their dark forces! The boy who has fantastic dreams with a Super Hero twist!

And I'll even have him envision himself as an older version of himself in his dreams as Spacehawk and his allies won't be entirely comfortable with having a young child join them in what is essentially a war against two powerful dark gods and their dark armies(there will be other young PD characters who also participate in the battle against Set and Chernobog but they'll either be a bit older than Nemo or be older than they look,Spacehawk and his allies will concede that some of those who join them in their fight could stand to be a little older but conclude that it's a serious enough situation to merit enlisting their aid all the same-just like how in Lord Of The Rings:The Two Towers,in the Battle Of Helm's Deep,even young stable boys have to fight).
My take on Little Nemo,which will pretty much be how you've imagined him will also take some influence from Shazam and Prime!
