PD Redesign: Cowboy Sahib

Description

Cowboy Sahib
Real Name: Joe King
Powers: Expert Rodeo Rider, Expert Sharpshooter
Equipment: Twin revolvers, Lasso
First Appearance: Hooded Horseman no.26 (1952)

Golden Age Origin
"Joe King was a WWII pilot with a thing for theatrics, dressing and acting like an American cowboy. Fate for some reason had contrived to bring him to central India shortly after World War II, there though another slip of fate he was named by a dieing maharaja as the ruler of his kingdom, where upon he was embraced as “Cowboy Sahib.”

During his brief career King used his Western skills in the Wild East to defend his land from dacoits (bandits,) wild tigers from the surrounding forests and invading Red Russian agents attempting to take over Cowboy Sahib’s new territory. (after all this was the 50’s)"

Now for one of the goofiest things I had done during the making of this series, and that's saying a lot. A WWII Pilot that acts like a cowboy, becomes a ruler for a kingdom in India. Instead of a horse I gave him a tiger, like what was shown on Hooded Horseman no.26.

Great PD redesign for Cowboy Sahib!

You said that one of the goofiest things that you'd done during the making of the PD redesign series(and that it was saying a lot)was having a WW II Pilot that acts like a cowboy, becomes a ruler for a kingdom in India and that instead of a horse he rides a tiger(like what was shown on Hooded Horseman no.26).

You're right.

That DOES sound goofy...but it also sounds freaking awesome!

I always say that no idea is too goofy, too weird, too silly, too cheesy, too crazy, too zany and too out there for comic book characters!

It's a great idea and it's a great concept!

Maybe you could bring Cowboy Sahib into Sargasso!
